I have personally known Troy for over 20 years as a man of integrity, professionalism and experience. He is the Godfather to my son William and as close an ally and brother as you can be.
Troy has been coaching people and actors in the film, television and theatre industry for over 20 years. He was a member of the
full-time teaching faculty at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, where he also traveled to numerous universities and colleges throughout the United States, coaching actors in workshops and facilitating seminars on the industry.
While in New York, Troy also worked as an associate Casting Director with Elsie Stark Casting Productions, casting numerous film, television and commercial projects.
Troy has just recently relocated to Toronto from Vancouver where he was a full time teacher at the prestigious Vancouver Film School where he taught drama, on camera acting and public speaking along all media platforms.
As an actor, Troy has performed on stages across Canada, the United States and Europe. His film and television credits are numerous; including principal and guest-starring roles on Supernatural, Corner Gas, Little Mosque on the Prairie and Moccasin Flats. His feature film credits include Sleepwalker (with Charlize Theron), Owning Mahoney (with Phillip Seymour Hoffman), Jennifer Lynch’s Chained, and Android Apocalypse.
Over the past two decades, Troy has developed a unique style of teaching actors, offering public speaking techniques and coaching professionals. He facilitates each student to embody their expression and access their ability to act and react on first impulse, creating undeniable truth in their performance. He empowers actors to fearlessly reveal authentic vulnerability in the life of their characters, and enables them to achieve standout performances through specificity and commitment to clear and captivating choices.
FYI - to be in a yearlong course with Troy in the Vancouver Film School you would pay $18,000.00.
I am so happy to announce that From September 2018, Troy will be teaching his Master Classes and regular classes to my students to help give them that competitive edge.
More details on his classes are coming but this unique opportunity allows students to take what they have learned so far and run it by Troy, a man from two of the best performing Arts Academy’s in North America, New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and the Vancouver Film School and then for him to take them to a newer level.
