The Hero's Journey
Ages 9-13 Transforming behavior in an immersive CBT skills group. In partnership with CBT CREATIVE PLAY , have your child join us on an extraordinary journey, The Hero’s Journey, where your children will go through a physical and emotional journey of self discovery. Through this adventure, your child will embark on an ancient quest and encounter exciting challenges where they will learn social emotional skills and develop self-confidence in facing their fears. This course will be facilitated by registered social worker, Jennifer Lau and Christopher Healy, 30-year seasoned acting/leadership coach. Just so you know, my classes are not recreational classes, not by a long shot. They are career development classes and as such students learn to develop a professional, respectful and determined mindset to achieve

I have been the “quiet achiever” type of educator who has worked diligently “under the radar” for 26 years, studying human behavior and drama therapy. My early background as an actor, writer and director, have helped me today teach
Arts-based experiential classes, blended with high performance skills, and personal improvement to thousands of children, teenagers and adults, helping them achieve a richer quality of life THROUGH the creative lens of the Dramatic Arts.
There are numerous acting schools throughout North America with many excellent teachers; however, there are few who specialize in the field of "acting” with personal high performance, as a tool to prepare the student for the business market place of the 21st century. I like to think of my classes as enroll them in as actors and role them out as business leaders.
I advise all my students, if you want to be successful in anything, then learn how to separate yourself from the competition in acting, life and business. This is vital for your ambitions’ to be achieved.
I have believed back then in 1993 as I do today that "Confidence Empowers Success" in all walks of life and always will. That's my motto, that's my teaching and that's my process. My acting "level's aren't levels as much as they are "experiences" in which my students learn to realize that they CAN live their dreams. Truth is, we can ALL live our dreams, but all of us wont, and that’s a choice each of us will make.
In fact, thousands of people including business professionals, local schools and communities have benefited greatly from my unique teaching, creative coaching and dedicated mentoring. Students include Prem Singh Hollywood star of “Tiger” also starring legendary Mickey Rourke, Jordan Clark star of the TV series The Next Step, Ana Golja TV star in Degrassi Next generation, Julia Tomasone TV star of Backstage, Environmental Hero Rachel Parent - the grade eight student who founded “Kids Right to Know: GMO’S – Just Label it campaign” and who debated and won against TV Dragon Kevin O Leary on CBC national television, North York YMCA staff on leadership, Toronto Catholic school board's educational initiative “Entrepreneurial Adventure Program”, Elesh Parujanwala – Bollywood TV Star, three time Guinness World Record Champion and Peak Performance Coach Theresa Dugwell, 1992 Olympic Gold medalist Mark Mckoy, Miss Teen Canada World 2009, 2010 pageants and my son William, who became the new voice of the world famous cartoon Turtle – Franklin and two seasons playing Arthur in the cartoon series Arthur!
If students really want to work or lead in any industry, then they must learn to rise above the many challenges that would drag them down and cultivate their own unique greatness. I teach all my own classes with care because I love what I do.
